The Huntingdon Theatre Academy was created by Natalie Lewis in 2012 and is now run by 1st Class Honors Drama Graduate and trained Actress Caroline Burgess. Caroline lives in the centre of Huntingdon with her husband, 7-year-old stepson and 9-month-old daughter. Caroline has a wealth of acting and teaching experience, and a true passion for coaching children and adults. She loves nothing more than seeing children and adults enjoy being on stage and growing into confident, dynamic performers. At the Huntingdon Theatre Academy, we believe that all children & teenagers have the ability to use and explore drama skills, including those with disabilities. Drama can help anyone gain confidence, improve communication skills and improve reading skills. We are proud to have a 100% Merit – Distinction pass rate for our pupils.
Caroline and her team of professional drama workshop leaders are all DBS-checked and hold public liability insurance. Workshops run on a weekly basis term time only, with individual workshops in the holidays. The backbone of our teaching at Huntingdon Theatre Academy is the LAMDA exam syllabus. We teach all the disciplines both in person and online, some of our students live hours away and enjoy their whole training online!
